The Athletic Business Show is excited to announce the 2016 winners of the First-Time Attendee Contest. The lucky winners receive a free full-conference registration, valued at $449. Applicants answered a few short questions and explained why they felt they deserved a free registration. Many reasons were given for wanting to win the contest from gaining knowledge and evaluating options for surfaces to budget constraints.
“I want to attend this conference so I can learn how to best utilize the space I have to best serve my students and fellow employees,” said one applicant. “I would love the opportunity to attend the AB Show to see all there is to offer in facility equipment, improvements and designs as I make plans for capital forecasting and improvements.”
“The AB Show has been recommended by others because I am the lead for the long term capital planning and budget,” said one attendee, while another said, “Everyone I talked to at another conference highly recommends the AB Show as the standard for athletic facilities conferences.”
One winner whose budget has been reduced was hoping to win in order to “attend this world-class conference to learn from the educational sessions, workshops, trade show, networking and purchasing opportunities.”
“We had many great applications this year. I wish we could have chosen all of them,” says Conference and CEU Manager Becky Walker, who manages the program.
